Petrochemical and Inorganic Chemicals
Base chemicals include the petrochemical and inorganic chemicals. Petrochemicals provide some of the building blocks, ethylene, propylene, butadiene, toluene, xylenes, and methanol. Inorganic chemicals such as ammonia, caustic soda, sulphuric acid, chlorine, sulphur, soda ash, bromine, fluorine and phosphorus are also base chemicals.
